Construction site safety - The comprehensive guide (GE700) is the leading publication within the construction industry. Designed for construction company owners, directors and site and project managers, GE700 provides authoritative information on current construction health, safety and environment legislation, guidance and good practice. It is the official supporting publication for the CITB Site management safety training scheme (SMSTS), a five-day course for construction site managers.

GE700 is a 'one stop - must have' product that has the busy site manager firmly in mind. Revised annually, it brings everything you need to know about construction health, safety and environment together in one place. A FREE to access companion website supports the publication and provides updates to the current edition along with the latest advice, guidance and links to related websites. You can also download GE700's free interactive checklists and forms, designed to help with day-to-day site management. These are user-friendly and quick to complete, making the recording of important information a simple process. To preview the GE700 companion website click here.

GE700 is divided into six sections (A to F) with a further supporting information section. All sections have been reviewed and updated, where necessary, to ensure the information reflects current legislation and good practice. Statistics have been updated, new case studies included and other section-specific updates have been made (for example, information and links have been added for new online toolkits, the first aid chapter from Section B includes the requirements for training people in mental health first aid, and Section E includes new information on frameworks and standards).

GE700 supports CITB’s Site Safety Plus (SSP) courses. Section A is the official supporting publication for the Director’s role for health and safety (DRHS), a one-day course for company directors, and Section E is the official supporting publication for the SEATS course, a one-day course for supervisors. These publications can be purchased separately (see GE700As and GE700Es).
